John A. McManus
John’s experience overseeing claims on the corporate side, has given him a multi-faceted view of every case. As a former insurance company executive, he is well aware of the need to provide quality legal service for his clients in a cost effective manner. In fact, in his prior career, John was instrumental in developing one of the insurance industry’s first litigation management and budget programs. As a practicing attorney, John has masterminded defenses of high-profile cases involving attorney, accountant, and real estate broker liability, employment discrimination, medical malpractice, general liability, motor vehicle and Labor Law actions. John is regarded as a tough, hands-on litigator. He has tried well over one hundred cases and when a settlement cannot be reached, he is always prepared to take a case to trial.
John is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Committee on Insurance, the Defense Association of New York, the American Bar Association, the Richmond County Bar Association, and the Professional Underwriters Society. He has lectured on legal malpractice prevention in programs sponsored by the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau Academy of Law. He is also a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

Steven D. Ateshoglou
Steven’s legal career has spanned more than thirty years. He has represented hundreds of businesses and individuals in civil and criminal cases, in state and federal court. He has litigated complex legal issues involving property damage and insurance subrogation, waivers and releases, personal injuries and wrongful death, individual freedoms and constitutional rights, professional and fiduciary duties and standards of care, contractual breaches and commercial disputes, equity interests and derivative claims. Steven has extensive trial and appellate experience. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants at the trial level, including many jury and non-jury trials to verdict. He has also served as appellate counsel in numerous cases in the First and Second Department and in the New York State Court of Appeals.
Steven is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. He is a frequent continuing legal education lecturer on trial techniques and evidence. He is also a member and former president of the Hellenic Lawyers Association of New York.

Isabel got her start working under Hugo Walters, Esq., director of the ABC Fashion Institute. She specializes in all things related to fashion law, whether that’s securing a trademark for a logo design or helping clients work through federal textile laws. Before joining Harris Ingram, she was an associate at fine arts practice Veronica Chin, PLLC. Isabel also represents fine artists, galleries, appraisers, and more on art litigation matters.
